Franchising Mathnasium

FAQs

1. How can you help my child in Math?

Mathnasium works with children of all levels to achieve more than they imagined possible!

Advanced Students – Children leap ahead when they conquer big challenges. By mastering complex concepts, students can reach higher math levels and unlock their true potential.

Struggling Students – Kids don’t hate math, they hate feeling frustrated. Our caring instructors give students the guidance and support they need to finally understand math, eliminating their frustration.

Students with Untapped Potential – Any child can be a math champion. Time and time again, the Mathnasium Method™ has unlocked power in “average” students and enabled them to become high achievers.

Test Prep – Students need math knowledge, not test tricks. Our test prep teaches math reasoning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills for success on standardized tests, in college, university and beyond, not test tricks.

Early Childhood Learners – The right foundation can change a child’s destiny. We bring the fun while we teach number sense and other important math skills to young children.

2. What method do you use to teach?

We have our own Mathnasium Method™ that we teach our students. Please view our Education Strategy.

3. How can my child start?

We start off with a customized assessment for your child which pinpoints their learning needs. We meet them where they are and take them where they need to go. We then design a customized learning plan for teaching the Math concepts your child needs to master.

4. How many students do you teach in your sessions?

Our highly-qualified instructors teach 3-4 students at a time, and foster an encouraging environment that helps students thrive and learn. Each student is given time to focus on their assigned task and our instructor is available to answer any questions right away.

5. How quick can I see my child progress?

Each child progresses at their own pace, and assessments are done on a regular basis in order to see sufficient progress when consistent.

The results are transformative – families will see measurable changes in attitude, confidence and school progress.

6. Will my child get homework?

All the teaching takes place during the Mathnasium session, and we don’t assign homework.

7. Will you help my child with his homework?

When needed, 10-15 minutes of the student’s class can be used for homework help. However, we highly recommend that the student attempts the work on their own before, as Mathnasium aims to cover children’s gaps that might go beyond what they’re learning in school at a specific point in time.

We aim to fix the root of the issue, rather than a quick fix.

8. How much does it cost?

We offer several packages depending on the level your child is at and the required time to reach the desired level. Your child can take as many sessions as they would like per week, depending on the requirements. Please get in touch so we can walk you through the best package for your child.
